Maria Torcia, Centre Founder

Maria Torcia, Centre Founder"Pilates is not just about physical fitness or physical rehabilitation. It's really about whole body and whole mind health. People who practice it report that they feel more alive, more refreshed and better able to take on life's challenges than ever before."

As the Founder of the Body Balance Centre, Maria Torcia brings to the Centre her extensive background in personal fitness training. Her own experience as a competitive triathlete has allowed her to recognize the very real benefits of Pilates, which she sees as combining the intensity of weight training with the grace of dance and the spirit of yoga. Her goal as Founder of Honolulu's Body Balance Centre is to provide its clients with a superior facility for learning and practicing the Body Balance Pilates Method, combining professional instruction with an optimal training environment.
